Our Skyline Studios are state-of-the-art facilities that enable industry-standard music writing, recording and production.
You'll work at Skyline Studios - an industry-standard studio space where you'll build experience in music writing, recording and production. These six fully equipped music recording studios, located in our Creative Industries Precinct, give you the chance to hone your skills in a professional setting.
Throughout our music courses, you'll be inspired to collaborate with like-minded people on a variety of creative and industry-focused projects. You'll work with live performances and in recording studios, with a focus on performing or producing.
You'll learn how to use technology to create, record, distribute and market music. As your study progresses, you'll have opportunities to perform in Brisbane's live music venues.
Our Independent Music Project (IMP) focuses on the development and creation of new music, as well as research related to music.
Through our range of courses, we offer a variety of flexible pathways for you to pursue your music passions in the contemporary music scene. You'll have opportunities to collaborate across disciplines, in projects that involve students from dance, fashion, film, games, IT, health, visual design and entertainment. Creative projects, including transdisciplinary projects, play an integral role in our undergraduate programs.
If production is your passion, you'll focus on creating new music using songwriting, studio recording, sequencing, digital processing and writing for voice with acoustic and electro-acoustic instruments.
If you're interested in performance, you'll focus on developing your unique performance style, by creating new work, using digital technology and developing new interpretations of your repertoire. You'll also experience performing in a recording studio environment and a variety of live settings.
If your passion is making music for film, television, games or any other transdisciplinary media environment, you'll have the opportunity to work with students in those disciplines as our music studies are based in our Creative Industries Precinct, alongside film, television, new media and animation.
