Learn from leading industry researchers and clinicians in state-of-the-art facilities for a great career in medical sciences.
Hands-on experience in the lab environment begins during first semester of first year and is embedded throughout your studies. Learn fundamental skills and gain confidence using the equipment during your first year, before moving onto experiments and advanced techniques in later years.
All students in the medical laboratory science course complete an internship, and if you're studying biomedical science, you'll also have the option to complete one. It's an opportunity to explore career pathways and engage with clinicians and researchers in real workplace environments, including accredited pathology labs and research facilities.
Our Vacation Research Experience Scheme gives you the opportunity to work on a research project while you're an undergraduate student. It's your chance to contribute to a real project and work with active researchers in world-class research institutes.
You'll be taught by discipline experts with active careers in research and professional practice. Our partnerships with research facilities nationwide mean we offer courses that incorporate current research outcomes, delivered at the highest industry standard.
Build your own biomedical sciences degree by selecting a major and two minor areas of study. It's a unique opportunity to explore your areas of interest and complete studies in complementary disciplines from across the university including law, business and psychology. Your final year encourages you to investigate research study or clinical career opportunities based on your preference.
