Already have a degree?

If you already have an undergraduate degree, you may be able to study the Master of Teaching (Early Childhood), and complete your teaching qualification in four semesters.

If you've already completed a Diploma in Children's Services and you're working in the early childhood sector, you can consider part-time and external study options in the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood).

Professional placements

Throughout this course, you'll get extensive real-world experience through professional placements in school classrooms, kindergartens and early childhood settings, supervised by practising professional educators.

We also provide additional opportunities to further your experience by working with the Out of the Box festival and in programs within the university.

Meet teaching standards

Our courses meet the professional teaching standards for graduate teachers of the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership and the Queensland College of Teachers.

They also meet the early childhood qualification standards under the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority Framework.

Graduates are eligible to apply for teacher registration, which lets you begin work as a practising teacher.
