Students who are studying fashion design will showcase their final-year designs in a fashion show presented to the industry and public.
Experience the real world of fashion design
Get real-world experience during your final year through work placements and innovative real-world projects, such as opening pop-up stores, producing fashion magazines and websites, and collaborating with leading designers.
In their final year, our fashion design students will showcase their year-long creative design project, which will give experience in taking fashion concepts from design ideas to the professional runway.
Study overseas with international designers
You can do international exchanges to fashion capitals around the world, including London, Milan, Berlin, Amsterdam and Delhi. Our previous students have secured coveted internships with leading global brands, including Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Antipodium and Tom Ford.
Our Creative Industries Precinct offers some of Australia's most sophisticated digital facilities to provide a world-class space to showcase your designs. Here, you can also collaborate with like-minded creative students from other disciplines.
Pathways to postgraduate study
Turn your creative interests and professional expertise into a postgraduate research degree to master new techniques, skills and research methods. Complete your research as either a thesis or a practical industry-focused creative work, with a written component.
Our fashion design graduates have started their own fashion labels and small businesses. They excel as independent designers and in larger fashion houses, and have collaborated with labels such as Sportsgirl. Others work as fashion stylists, international trend forecasters and product development managers, living in cities all around the world, from Sydney to London and Brisbane to Paris.
