In an increasingly competitive and transparent environment, as leaders you are subject to immense scrutiny and expectations. The need to manage an organisation and satisfy stakeholders can often be at odds with cultural and societal expectations for organisations to do the 'right thing'. But how is the 'right thing' defined, and by whom?

This breakthrough program will explore the notion of 'purposeful leadership'. Through engaging discussion, you will discover practical tools to address complex managerial challenges, and demonstrate authentic leadership that makes a sustainable difference.

Greg Latemore

Greg is Director of Latemore Consulting, which was established in Brisbane in 1993. Greg also has a background in philosophy. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (1978) and the inaugural Master of Management (1988), both from The University of Queensland. He commenced a PhD in HRM philosophy at Australian Catholic University (ACU) in September 2015. He specialises in executive coaching, leadership development and strategic management. He is an industry fellow at UQ Business School and has lectured in organisational behaviour, HRM and strategic management at QUT. He has clients throughout Australia and New Zealand across all sectors.

Terence Collins

Terence holds a PhD (1989) in Philosophy from the Gregorian (Jesuit) University in Rome, a B.D. (1978) from the University of Queensland, and an MBA (1998) from QUT. Terry has taught philosophy for 10 years at tertiary level including at ACU and the Brisbane College of Theology. He has also taught strategic management at QUT. He has held a variety of leadership and management roles in business for the last 12 years was recently Director with a large IT organisation in Brisbane.

FEE-HELP and HECS-HELP are not available for Continuing Professional Education courses.

Registrations are not complete until all fees are paid in full.


If you can't attend a workshop you can send someone else in your place at no additional cost. Due to the preparation required for the workshops, you must notify Continuing Professional Education of any substitutions at least four working days before each workshop.


If you want to cancel your registration, email Continuing Professional Education at least 14 days before the workshop and you'll receive credit towards any future event held by QUT Graduate School of Business in the next 12 months.
