Increasing volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA) in organisational life means that traditional ways of managing are failing. New approaches gaining ground are less about 'telling and directing' and more about 'engaging and developing'. The term ‘coaching culture’ is emerging to describe organisations that embrace these approaches.

The assumptions that drive a coaching culture are:

  • in-context solutions need to be generated to confront unfamiliar problem situations
  • people in the thick of the action are more likely to be able to create workable solutions than managers who sit at the top
  • people stay, perform and are healthier when they have connect to the purpose of their work.

Who should participate

Managers who already experience success and are keen to take their leadership to a new level. It may also be of interest to external coaches and consultants who are seeking some fresh ideas for sharpening their coaching practice.

If you've attended How to develop a coaching culture, don't register for this workshop as you'll have covered the content already. You can find leadership development workshops on other topics in our Brisbane Business Connect and Canberra Business Connect programs.
