This course will provide the foundations for creating a portfolio of fashion illustration using industry-standard design software.

Working with an industry professional, you will be guided through the process of developing a design portfolio - from concept development to finished illustration and presentation.

The course covers a brief history of fashion illustration, and trend research. It also introduces the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

Over the course of two sessions you will be involved in a range of engaging practical activities while exploring the building blocks of graphic design and its application to fashion illustration.

Payment

When you register for the course, you will create an account with us. You'll need to pay your fees online by credit or debit card.

You will be able to access your account, including your invoice, using your email address and password.

FEE-HELP and HECS-HELP are not available for Continuing Professional Education courses.

Early-bird discount

We offer a 10% early-bird discount if you register 4 weeks before the course starts.

QUT staff

If you are a QUT staff member and QUT will pay your fees, you may choose the QUT staff payment option and enter the relevant account code and authorising officer details.

Registrations

Registrations close 10 working days before the start of the course.

If the course is full, please email Continuing Professional Education to register your interest. We will advise you by email if a position becomes available.

Cancellation

To cancel your registration, you must apply in writing to the course manager at Continuing Professional Education. If you cancel 10 business days before the course starts, we will fully refund your fee, less the non-refundable $100 registration fee.

No registration refunds will be made within 10 business days of the course starting.

QUT Creative Industries reserves the right to cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances or should insufficient registrations be received to run a short course. In this event, we will advise you as soon as possible, and provide a full refund or register you for another course of equivalent value. QUT are not responsible for any expenses you may have incurred if the course is cancelled.
