Treat yourself to an exciting weekend exploring the craft of acting that will include practical work for both stage and screen work.
You'll learn from a tutor who teaches in our Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting), which is one of only four acting courses in Australia taught in a university. It produces outstanding graduates like Brenton Thwaites (The Maleficent, The Giver, Gods of Egypt), Anna McGahan (Underbelly, House Husbands, Anzac Girls) and Deborah Mailman (The Sapphires, Offspring, Redfern Now).
Beginners and students of drama. This course is open to anyone over the age of 18, including international participants.

In this course you will:
Peter Rasmussen is a casting director and acting coach. Peter has a strong foundation in actor training with a Bachelor of Arts in Acting from QUT and 17 years in the industry.
Always hungry to embrace the best acting techniques he has studied Lee Strasburg, Eric Morris, Uta Hagan, Robert Cohen, Mark Travis, Practical Aesthetics and Howard Fine. With an acting career spanning film and TV through to Shakespeare for schools, Peter has drawn all his influences together to form his own methodology.
Peter has taught at major schools all over Australia including the QUT Fine Arts Acting Program, Griffith Film School, Tafta and the Melbourne Acting Academy.
Places are strictly limited and class sizes are small to ensure you get enough attention, so it's best to register early.
When you register for the course, you will create an account with us. You'll need to pay your fees online by credit or debit card.
You will be able to access your account, including your invoice, using your email address and password.
FEE-HELP and HECS-HELP are not available for Continuing Professional Education courses.
We offer a 10% early-bird discount if you register up to 4 weeks before the course starts.
If you're a QUT staff member and QUT will pay your fees, you may choose the QUT Staff payment option and enter the relevant account code and authorising officer details.
This course is open to anyone over the age of 18, including international participants.
If the course is full, please email Continuing Professional Education to register your interest. We will advise you by email if a position becomes available.
To cancel your registration, you must apply in writing to the course manager at Continuing Professional Education. If you cancel 10 business days before the course commences, you will receive a full refund minus a non-refundable $100 registration fee.
No registration refunds will be made within 10 business days of the course starting.
We reserve the right to cancel the course under certain circumstances, such as low registration numbers. If this happens, we will advise you as soon as possible, and give you a full refund. We are not responsible for any expenses you may have incurred if the course is cancelled.
