This workshop explores practical techniques to foster successful personal and professional relationships. The topics covered include:

  • building self-awareness and the ability to manage emotions
  • techniques to communicate with others in an empathetic way
  • promoting trust and cooperation
  • creating a simple plan for continued development of emotional intelligence.

Who should participate?

This one-day workshop is for leaders and managers looking to raise productivity and boost team morale through more positive working relationships and gain a greater appreciation of personal circumstances. It is also well-suited to relationship managers as well as talent management and leadership development professionals.


Dr Kate Joyner has held senior human resources and leadership development positions with universities and government departments for more than two decades. She completed her PhD in Business Strategy in 2011, and is the winner of several academic awards for her work. As well as holding an MBA and PhD from QUT, Kate has a degree from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. She is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM) as well as the US Academy of Management.
