For non-award programs, it is expected that course and program attendees have the appropriate level of knowledge and experience to contribute to discussions and case studies, which form an important part of the learning process.


Registrations are not confirmed until all fees are paid in full. All outstanding invoices must be paid prior to the commencement of any course.

Your receipt will be attached to your confirmation email which is sent after you complete your registration.

FEE-HELP and HECS-HELP are not available for QUTeX courses.


To cancel your registration, you must apply in writing to QUTeX.

If you cancel prior to 5 business days before the course commences you can either:

  • receive credit towards the same future course held within the next 12 months;
  • receive a partial refund of the course fee minus a non-refundable $50 administration fee.

No refunds will be granted within 5-0 business days of course commencement or once the course has started, except in exceptional circumstances with supporting evidence.

We reserve the right to cancel the course under certain circumstances, such as low registration numbers. If this happens, we will advise you as soon as possible, and give you a full refund. We are not responsible for any expenses you may have incurred if the course is cancelled

QUT staff

If you are a QUT staff member and QUT is paying your fees, you may choose the QUT Staff payment option and enter the relevant account code and authorising officer details.


Sending a substitute is the best way to ensure you or your organisation retains the full value for its training investment. Should you be unable to attend a QUTeX course, you may nominate a substitute to attend in your place.

Written notification must be received a minimum 5 business days prior to the course. All written notifications must include your name, course name and contact information for your substitute

Requests made for substitute transfer between 4-0 days before a course starts, or once a course has commenced, are not permitted.


The personal information you supply on this registration is required by QUT to manage your course registration and participation. Information about you as a participant is also used to facilitate your access to student support services such as email and online teaching web sites. Participant information may also be used for quality assurance and evaluation purposes, to help ensure that the courses and programs provided by faculties are of high quality.

Your personal information may be disclosed to related third parties external to QUT for the purposes of facilitating your participation in the course.

Image release authorisation

As part of course activity, we often take photos or videos for publicity, publications, display or other university purposes. If you are included in these photos or videos, you agree to their use as outlined above and that you do not have an interest in the copyright to the photographs or videos, or payment for your appearance in them.
