Dr Michael Rosemann is the Director of QUT’s Centre for Future Enterprise. The Centre is dedicated to growing our understanding of the emerging attributes of thriving organisations, i.e. entrepreneurial, digital, social and robust. As a Professor for Innovation Systems, Dr Rosemann is working on applied research projects related to revenue resilience, innovation (eco)systems, systemic ideation, process management and trust management.
As the previous Head of QUT’s Information Systems School he established the Woolworths Chair in Retail Innovation, the Brisbane Airport Chair in Airport Innovation and the PwC Chair in Digital Economy. He is currently heading a CISCO-funded, large project on ‘Trusted Retail Operations’. Dr Rosemann is the author/editor of seven books, more than 300 refereed papers, Editorial Board member of ten international journals and co-inventor of US and European patents. His publications have been translated into Russian, Mandarin, German and Portuguese. His research projects received funding from industry partners such as Accenture, Australia Post, Cisco, Infosys, PwC, Rio Tinto, SAP, Suncorp and Woolworths. Michael is a frequent, global keynote speaker and provides advice to senior executives from diverse industries such as telecommunication, finance, insurance, professional services, utility, retail, public sector, logistics and the film industry. He is the Chief Investigator of the global research project ‘trusted retail Operations’.
At QUT, Michael teaches subjects such as ‘Improving Business Operations’ and ‘Smart Decision Making’ in the MBA program. He also offers courses on ‘Disruptive Leadership’ and ‘Leadership in the Digital Age’ as part of QUTeX. Michael is also the Honorary Consul for the Federal Republic of Germany in Brisbane since 2016.
