Dr Donna Tangen

Dr Donna Tangen is a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Education, teaching both undergraduate and post-graduate studies with a focus on engaging diverse learners. Her research interests include transnational/international pre-service teaching and teacher training, internationalisation in higher education, ESL/EAL and issues pertaining to inclusive education. Donna was a co-leader in a pre-service teacher mobility program between QUT and a Malaysian institute of teacher education where intercultural relationships between pre-service teachers were conducted in Malaysia and through online programming. Donna is also currently coordinator of a study abroad subject at QUT.

Deborah Henderson

Deborah Henderson, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education. Deborah served on the national advisory panel for the General Capabilities in the Australian Curriculum, and has extensive experience as an advisor to education authorities and as a facilitator for teacher professional learning in Australia and overseas. Her research spans education policy and curriculum theory in Asia literacy, intercultural understanding and global perspectives in the humanities, and social sciences in schooling and higher education. Deborah’s research in transnational education draws from her co-leadership of a pre-service teacher mobility program in Malaysia from 2013-2016. She is the Editor of Curriculum Perspectives, the peer-reviewed journal of the Australian Curriculum Studies Association.
