Social Media Marketing Tools for Business

This short course looks at how social media channels can be used as part of a complete marketing program for either a simple or a more sophisticated business.

Your expert facilitator Michael Klaehn

Michael Klaehn has been working in the marketing communications industry in supplier and agency roles for over 15 years. Throughout that time he's had the opportunity to develop a specialised and unique set of skills working in the areas of digital and direct marketing, integrated campaign strategy as well as video and digital production.

Michael has had both the pleasure and pain to have worked with international and local organisations across industries including Federal and State Government, telecommunications, media and entertainment, banking and finance, tourism, defence, health, FMCG and education.

For the last 12 years, he's also been lecturing and tutoring part time in QUT’s School of Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations teaching across a range of subjects. This year he was invited to become a lecturer in the school of Media, Entertainment and Creative Arts as part of the Creative Industries Faculty, teaching in the Master of Creative Advertising course. His specific interests focus on new media and it’s integration into existing campaign strategies.

Michael has also spent a few years on the Queensland Board of the Australian Direct Marketing Association (ADMA) and often frequents the local industry events for AIMIA, Interactive Minds and AMI.
