You can apply for these courses no matter what area you completed your undergraduate degree in.

Some of the courses may also have majors that aren't listed here that have specific entry requirements, so make sure you read the course information.

In many cases, you also have the option of completing a graduate diploma or graduate certificate, as well as the masters courses listed below.

Business

Graduate Certificate in Business

The Graduate Certificate in Business offers a targeted group of units to broaden your knowledge in a selected discipline, providing an opportunity to acquire new knowledge or as a pathway to the Master of Business course.

Majors in: applied finance, human resource management, integrated marketing communication, international business, management, marketing, philanthropy and nonprofit studies, public relations, strategic advertising, interdisciplinary, professional accounting.

Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting

On successful completion of the one-year online Graduate Diploma in Business (Professional Accounting) you will have met the academic component of requirements for entry into the Australian professional accounting bodies and have a pathway into the Master of Business (Professional Accounting) – Advanced course.

Master of Business

The Master of Business course gives you the knowledge to change careers into a range of business professions even if you haven't studied business before. The course is also suitable if you're a business graduate seeking specialist knowledge in a particular business discipline.

Majors in: applied finance, human resource management, integrated marketing communication, international business, management, marketing, philanthropy and nonprofit studies, public relations, strategic advertising, professional accounting.

Education

Master of Teaching (Early Childhood)

This course provides a pathway for graduates of non-teaching degrees to become a qualified teacher for early childhood and early years.

Master of Teaching (Primary)

This course provides a pathway for graduates of non-teaching degrees to become a qualified teacher for primary school.

Master of Teaching (Secondary)

This course provides a pathway for graduates of non-teaching degrees to become a qualified teacher for senior school.

Master of Education

Some majors in our Master of Education can provide useful skills to enhance or change your career. You don't need to be a registered teacher to gain entry to some study areas, including teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) and career development. Completing the Master of Education does not lead to teacher registration.

Health and community courses

Bachelor of Nursing (Graduate Entry)

You can receive one year's credit and complete this course in two years full-time. Graduates of this course are eligible to apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and the Royal College of Nursing Australia.

Bachelor of Paramedic Science (Graduate Entry)

This course provides a pathway for graduates with heath or medical science-related qualifications to complete the degree in two years instead of three. Students will undertake extensive experience with Queensland Ambulance Service to prepare you for your career.

Bachelor of Podiatry (Graduate Entry)

Graduates with heath or medical science-related qualifications can complete this degree in two and a half years instead of four, and will gain highly sought after skills and knowledge in sports medicine, podiatric medicine and surgery, pharmacology and paediatrics.

Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety

This course equips students with expert knowledge in risk assessment, risk management, ergonomics, occupational health, laws relating to occupational health and safety, and safety technology.

Master of Counselling

This course offers professionals advanced skills in counselling therapy. These skills are applicable in fields including nursing, education, community arts, justice, human services, and other allied health fields.

Master of Social Work (Qualifying)

Graduates with a degree that includes at least eight units in an area such as psychology, education, law or human services, can complete this degree in two years and will be eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Worker.

Information technology

Master of Business Process Management

This course provides you with the skills and knowledge to design, execute and manage business process improvement initiatives at project, program and organisational level. Professionals who can combine managerial and IT skills to enhance process performance are in high demand. This course will suit you if you hold an undergraduate degree in either information technology or business.

Master of Information Technology

This course is designed to give you specialist knowledge in an information technology area, whether you have an IT background or not.

Majors in: data science, enterprise systems, security, computer science, business process management, networks, human computer interaction, information management.

Law and justice

Bachelor of Laws (Honours) - Graduate Entry

This is a shortened course that recognises prior learning and experiences from your other degree. It is a higher qualification than a bachelor degree, with honours-level content integrated throughout the course. You can complete the course in three years full-time (or six years part-time or external) rather than four years full-time.

Graduate Certificate in Applied Law

This course is designed for professionals who want an insight into a niche area of law. It will allow you to gain the expertise to manage legal issues in your work environment including health, project management, and commercial environments.

Graduate Certificate in Domestic Violence

The first of its kind in Australia, this course is designed for frontline workers, policy developers and any professionals who come into contact with domestic violence victims or perpetrators. Learn about the dynamics and types of abuse, prevalence and contributing factors. A degree, diploma or five years' relevant work experience is required for entry.

Graduate Certificate in Policy and Governance

Our flexible and innovative one-year part-time Graduate Certificate in Policy and Governance is available completely online. Our entry requirements are also flexible so you can gain a competitive advantage - you don't need an undergraduate qualification to apply. Entry is based on professional experience or a completed bachelor degree.

Master of Applied Law

This course is designed for professionals who want an insight into a niche area of law. It will allow you to gain the expertise to manage legal issues in your work environment including health, project management, and commercial environments.

WIPO-QUT Master of Laws in Intellectual Property

This course is designed to meet the needs of current and aspiring intellectual property professionals from law and non-law backgrounds. This course does not lead to admission to the legal profession.
