The Australian Technology Network's (ATN) Industry Doctoral Training Centre (IDTC), in collaboration with major business and industry organisations, offers an innovative Doctoral Program.
IDTC graduates are industry-ready, equipped with highly-developed communication and technical skills which underpin their future career success no matter where their journey takes them. Our students have or are working with some of Australia’s well recognised organisations, in sectors such as banking, mining and energy, government, and not-for-profit. IDTC Nodes are located within each of the ATN universities: RMIT, University of Technology Sydney, QUT, Curtin University and University of South Australia.
The first year of the program comprises taught courses, projects and group activities to give you a grounding in mathematics and statistics to develop skills and knowledge to industrial problems and identify your research.

The IDTC will fully fund approximately 3 to 5 doctoral students per annum who commence with the Centre from 2012-2016. This funding includes a tax-free stipend, training and conference support as well as supporting travel and equipment costs.
Scholarships valued up to $30,000 per annum (tax free) are available for international research students who are in receipt of a scholarship that covers their tuition fees.
Please be aware that we cannot offer funding to international students to cover their tuition fees; however there are a number of scholarship opportunities that you can apply for separately. We strongly recommended that you apply for these as early as you can, even before submitting your application.
Alternatively, please email us to discuss suitability and possible funding options.
