Receiving your test results

Your test results will be available 13 days after your test. Release dates might be affected by public holidays and university closures, so check your confirmation letter for your collection date.

You can choose to receive your provisional test results by text message (SMS) by selecting this option on your application.

You can collect your test result form (TRF) from the QUT IELTS test centre between 9am and 1pm. You must bring your passport to collect your results. If you do not collect your results by 1pm, we will mail your results to your residential address.

Your test results form is valid for two years.

Viewing results online

You can preview your test results via the IELTS website. This online preview is not an official confirmation of your results.

Online preview will will start at 12am Australian Eastern Daylight Saving Time (AEDT) 13 days after the test, unless otherwise specified in the information provided by your test centre. The preview of results is gradually rolled out over 24 hours.

You must have the following information to preview your results:

  • first name
  • family name
  • passport number
  • date of birth
  • test date.

The preview of your test result is provisional and may not be used as official confirmation of your achievement.

Additional test report forms

To request an additional test report form, complete the IELTS application for the issue of additional test report forms (TRFs)(PDF file, 219.4 KB) .

You may need to pay an administrative fee to request additional test report forms. If required, you can pay the fee via QUTPay or pay at the QUT IELTS test centre.


Can my test be remarked?

You can have your test remarked by applying for an enquiry on results.

Can I take the exam again?

If you want to take the IELTS exam again, you can apply again as soon as you are ready. There is no limit on the number of times you can take the test.

Make sure that you prepare properly for your exam by completing some practice materials.
