Real world opportunities outside the classroom

Our courses provide real-world learning experiences. Real-world learning integrated theory, knowledge and skills with professional and contemporary practice. Find out more about our Leadership, Development and Innovation (LDI) Program

You can earn credit towards your course through the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program.  There is also co-curricular (not-for-credit) work experience that can provide you with more opportunities to gain course relevant, real world experience through volunteering placements, projects with industry or community partners, site visits, study tours and other opportunities. Contact your faculty WIL teams to find out how you can develop your skills.

These real-world learning experiences offer you the opportunity to develop contacts in your chosen industry, put your education into practice, enhance your initiative, problem-solving and teamwork skills, and get a taste of the real world of work in your chosen field.

You can stand out from the crowd when you graduate by taking part in the Career Mentor Scheme, work experience program, and other development opportunities offered by our careers service.
