'These few weeks were among the best in my life. I experienced things that most people will never have the opportunity to do in their lifetime, such as flying, and assisting with medical care, in a helicopter. The range of prehospital experiences we were offered was beyond anything I ever expected before this trip and are experiences I will hold dear for the rest of my life. The professional and social relationships I have built are some that will last a lifetime. This trip has reignited my love for all things prehospital and given me many things to consider regarding my future.'

Learning valuable lessons
'My experience of paramedic placement in Vanuatu was invaluable for my future professional practice. In addition to experiencing different models and standards of care to that of Australia, there were many moments where I learnt valuable lessons. Overall, the greatest thing I am taking away from my experience in Vanuatu is that it has sparked a passion for education within the prehospital and/or in-hospital fields.'

Real world experience while traveling the world
'Living and working in London is awesome, and I love how close Europe is. Being a paramedic is challenging and QUT helped me get here. With real world courses and hands-on training - that made a real difference.'
