QUT Excellence Scholarship (Creative Industries)

What you'll receive

You'll receive:

• a scholarship valued at $10,000 each. This scholarship will be paid as a study stipend of $2,500 after the HECS-HELP census date of each semester for the first four semesters of your course ($5,000 per year)
• entry into QUT's College of Excellence.

Eligibility

How to apply

There is no specific application process needed to be considered for this scholarship. All applicants who apply for an eligible course will be considered.

You must complete a QTAC application and the individual audition or portfolio requirements as listed on each course page.

What happens next?

Scholarship recipients will be chosen from the pool of eligible creative industries applicants. If you're successful, you will receive a scholarship offer in line with your offer for your course. If you are applying for a double degree you may receive a scholarship offer later than those applying for a single degree due to the additional academic requirements needed for these courses.

Four $10,000 scholarships will be awarded to eligible applicants. This includes provision for one QUT Excellence Scholarship (Creative Industries) from each eligible study area to be awarded to the second highest ranked Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander applicants who meet the minimum additional entry requirement.

Conditions

You must:

• maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 5.00 or higher in each semester.

You can:

• be enrolled either full-time or part-time
• take a leave of absence for up to two years but only after you have completed one full-time semester of study. You won't receive scholarship payments during this time.

You can't:

• defer your scholarship offer. If you defer your course, you will be considered for the scholarship the following year, providing you haven't undertaken university study in the meantime
• hold any other scholarship, except an Equity Scholarship. If you have any questions about holding multiple scholarships concurrently, contact us at scholarships@qut.edu.au.
