About the scholarship

This scholarship is available thanks to the generosity of ACPNS alumnus, Margaret Scott MBA M.Bus (Res) (Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies) FFIA CFRE AFAIM.

Margaret has a love of fundraising and philanthropy and assists organisations through her fundraising consultancy service, Margaret Scott and Associates. In 2014, Margaret received the highest accolade for her efforts, the Arthur Venn Australian Fundraiser of the Year Award. She has nearly 30 years of fundraising leadership experience and achievement and, as a long-term tutor and Fellow with Fundraising Institute Australia and a presenter both in Australia and the US, her learnings and experience have crossed sector boundaries to inspire fundraisers from around the globe.

Margaret’s goal in donating this scholarship is to inspire a future student to excel in their fundraising/philanthropy career. It may be applicable to someone working in fundraising as a career or to someone involved in fundraising in some other way (e.g. as a board member active in this area).
