What you'll receive

You'll receive:

  • A living allowance of AU$28,597 (2021 rate, indexed annually) for up to 3 years for PhD students and 2 years for Master of Philosophy students.

The scholarship is for full time study and can be used to support living costs.

A six-month extension to the scholarship is also possible, subject to approval by QUT.

Eligibility

  • Meet QUT academic and English language entry requirements for the IF49 Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Master of Philosophy (MPhil).
  • Have a first-class honours (H1) qualification or recently completed a masters degree by research.
  • Ideally you will also have (not necessary but preferred) research experience in catalysis.

The provision of a scholarship is conditional on successful application and admission to the IF49 Doctor of Philosophy or Master of Philosophy (MPhil) course. Eligibility for admission to a research degree is determined by the Graduate Research Centre.

Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, this scholarship is only available for students who are a resident or currently onshore in Australia.

About the scholarship

This project aims to utilize visible light to control reactant adsorption on catalyst surfaces for accelerating reactions and tuning product selectivity.
