Professor Gerry FitzGerald
Professor Gerry FitzGerald is Professor Emeritus on the School of Public Health and Social Work at QUT. His research interests focus on the way in which emergency health services function under the routine challenges from a growing and ageing population and the non-routine challenges associated with disasters including those related to global warming. He has published over 150 peer reviewed articles, a text in Disaster Health Management, eight book chapters and more than 100 conference representations. He has supervised more than 25 PhD students to completion and obtained over $5m in research grants.
Associate Professor Reece Hinchcliff
Associate Professor Reece Hinchcliff is an Associate Professor in Health Services Research, Deputy Discipline Lead and Course Coordinator in Health Management and the Academic Lead of International Engagement within the School of Public Health and Social Work at QUT. His research and teaching has examined how both regulatory policies and quality improvement programs can be applied in health services to improve organisational and care outcomes. He has a particular reputation for research into health service accreditation programs, being the third most published author in that field, internationally.
