Jack Alcock
Jack is an emerging mechanist, sound designer and sound technician, passionate about dance, festivals and installations. While at QUT, Jack has worked as a head of sound (New Moves 2016, Production One 2016); sound associate (Standing By 2020); sound and vision coordinator (Drama Practice 5 2019, Dance 2015); sound designer and sound coordinator (The Seagull 2015); Head of Set and Fly’s (Essentially Dance 2015); floor electrician (Romeo and Juliet 2014); sound operator (Laramie Project 2015); production assistant (Mnemonic 2014); props designer (Speaking in Tongues 2020); and a stage manager (New Moves 2015, Production One 2014). He also spent time in his graduating year working as a sound designer (Three Sisters 2020); and undertook a placement in site construction with Brisbane Festival 2020. Jack has also completed a Cert. III in Entertainment Industries, and looks forward to witnessing the merging and connection of art and technology in the coming years.
Ashleigh Bradfield
Ashleigh is an emerging mechanist, technician, designer, passionate about sound design, staging, theatre and circus. While at QUT, Ashleigh worked as a sound designer (Standing By, Romeo and Juliet 2020); sound and vision coordinator (Dance 2019); head of set (Collab Works 2019, Panopticon 2019); set designer (Panopticon 2019); sound operator (Season of Contemporary American Plays 2019); QLab operator (a Couch in the Cane Field 2019); and a stage manager (Septum Socious 2019). She also spent time working in set and props fabrication (Dead Puppets Society creative development 2020); undertook a placement in site design with Brisbane Festival 2020; and worked on a placement as a Mechanist with Creative Generation 2019. Ashleigh looks forward to taking a break after this semester.
Meika Clark
Meika is an emerging lighting designer and technical manager, and aspires to work in all forms of live performance. While at QUT, Meika has worked as a technical manager (Standing By 2020); lighting designer (The Bone People 2020, Recipe 2019); head electrician (So it Goes 2019); lighting operator (Radiate 2018); head of sound and vision (New Moves, Drama Practice 3 2019); vision assistant & camera operator (Pygmalion 2018); archive and crew (Season of Contemporary American Plays 2019); deputy stage manager (Dance 2018); and an assistant stage manager (Essentially Dance 2018). She also spent time in her graduating year working as a head electrician (Three Sisters, Dinner, Love & Money 2020); and a lighting operator (Dinner, Love & Money 2020). Meika has also completed a Cert. III, Cert. IV, and Diploma in Live Production, Theatre and Events (Technical Operations). Meika looks forward to building her career in touring live performance as a lighting designer and technical manager.
Katherine Crocker
Katherine is an emerging stage manager and production artist, and enjoys musical theatre, ballet and opera. While at QUT, Katherine has worked as a launch and exhibition coordinator (Standing By 2020); stage manager (The Bone People 2020, A Couch in the Cane 2018); assistant stage manager (Collab Works 2019); head electrician (Drama Practice 5 2019); QLab operator (Septum Socious 2018); and a sound designer (Dial Tones 2019). She also spent time in her graduating year working as a stage manager (Dead Puppet Society creative development 2020). Katherine has also completed a Cert. III in Live Production and Technical Services, and looks forward to building networks, and pursuing her career in stage management.
Kensington Fielder
Kensington is an emerging designer, specialising in design, construction and fabrication for Theatre, and enjoys theatre, musical theatre, and opera. While at QUT, Kensington has worked as a set designer (The Bone People 2020, Dial Tones 2019); lighting designer (Drama Practice 3 2019); head of set (Standing By 2020); occupational health and safety coordinator (So it Goes 2019); archive assistant (Season at Sarsaparilla 2019); lighting operator (Collab Works 2019); and a deputy stage manager (Sticks and Stones 2018). She also spent time in her graduating year working as a Puppet & miniature set builder (Dead Puppet Society creative development 2020) and design associate (Dinner, Love & Money 2020). Kensington has also completed a Diploma in Technical Production, and looks forward to being able to go out dancing with friends, seeing theatre and small scale works in smaller Brisbane venues, and no matter where she is at, or what she is doing as a profession, she look’s forward to being content, centred, and happy.
