Farewell to L Block

11th October 2012

Affectionately known as Brisbane's ugliest building, L Block holds special memories for many QUT graduates. A training ground since 1969, the old block will shut its doors at the end of exams on November 23 and be demolished brick by brick.

Civil engineering, surveying and construction management, and maths students will have fond (and maybe fraught) memories of the building of lecture rooms, faculty and staff offices and recently QUT's food court and book store.

As a special farewell to L Block, QUT is making available a limited number of commemorative bricks.

'Buy' an L Block brick and lay the foundations for a student's future.

This is your only chance to have a piece of QUT history.

In doing so you will support the QUT Learning Potential Fund. This fund is QUT's major strategic investment to provide financial support for students in need.

There are only 100 limited L Block bricks available:

• Your brick for $1000 is a gift that will keep on giving (can be paid in instalments)
• Gifts are tax deductible
• Please indicate your support by pledging now.
