See QUT research in a new light at CreateX with a large-scale visual installation displaying striking and unexpected scientific imagery accompanied by a soundscape on the new digital canvas.

QUT Science in Focus: Take a closer look is a free event launching at CreateX on Thursday 15 November from 4pm, at QUT's Kelvin Grove campus.

Immerse yourself in the beauty of the curated compilation, featuring a selection of past and present entries from QUT's Science in Focus competition, which illustrate the impact of important QUT research.

Wonder at the unique perspectives of QUT research, including everyday objects magnified at the nanoscale. Marvel at the spectacle of science as it is transformed into art, and learn more about how QUT research is impacting our world.

This display celebrates a collaboration between QUT's Institute for Future Environments, QUT Creative Industries and the talented QUT staff and students who have submitted these fascinating images to the QUT Science in Focus competition over the last five years.

CreateX showcases QUT Creative Industries through a range of performances, exhibitions, screenings and panel discussions taking place from 13-17 November. The event challenges, inspires and drives what it means to design, create and communicate in the twenty-first century.

Science in Focus is an annual competition hosted by the QUT Insitute for Future Environments that celebrates remarkable and beautiful imagery that reveal diverse aspects of QUT research with impact. Entries are judged on creativity, originality, technical proficiency, visual impact and informational content.
