Australian Information Education Symposium
The Queensland University of Technology and the University of South Australia are proud to host the Australian Information Education Symposium. This is the first offering of the event, which brings together educators within the information professions to enable a culture of informed and innovative teaching and learning practice.
Information educators at all levels (VET and university) and supporting all facets of the profession - libraries, archives, information & knowledge management, records, schools, museums - are invited to come and share their ideas, explore best practice, develop their teaching scholarship, and work with others
Registration and Payment
Registrations are now open. The registrations fees are as follows:
Standard registration: AUD $95
Member registration: AUD $80
To qualify for the member rate, you must be a current financial member of one of the professional associations listed - (i.e. ALIA, ASLA, ALLA, PLA, SLA, RMAA, ASA). Please ensure you include your membership number on your registration form.
Registration includes seminar sessions, morning, afternoon tea, lunch, dinner and end of event cocktails.
Payment must be made using the Registration Form .
The deadline for all registrations is Friday 15 June 2012. All accounts must be paid in full prior to the Symposium. Delegates with outstanding amounts at the time of the Symposium will be required to settle their account upon collecting their registration or provide a credit card guarantee for payment to be made within 14 days post Seminar.
The following policy applies for variations to registration (i.e. withdrawals/cancellations)
Substitute participants are welcome in lieu of cancellation up to the scheduled seminar date. Written advise of any substitute participants prior to the seminar commencement must be provided.

Venue and Transport
The Symposium will be held at the City West campus of the University of South Australia. This campus is located near public transport -buses, trams and trains. The campus is within 5-10 minutes of the CBD, restaurants, cafes and Rundle Mall.
