IFE Grand Challenge Public Lecture Series @ Gardens Point

Several grand challenges confront humanity in the 21st century, from feeding the world's booming population to managing scarce natural resources and reducing our carbon footprint. The Grand Challenge Lecture Series explores these and other challenges and the possible solutions to them. All lectures are free and open to the public. You can attend in person or watch via livestream.

Grace Hopper Celebration viewing party @ Gardens Point

Join us to continue the momentum of Hopper Down Under by meeting other women technologists, hearing from QUT’s Professor Richi Nayak and seeing some of the keynote presentations from Florida's Grace Hopper Celebration as well as people lucky enough to attend the GHC in person!

Grand Challenge Lecture: Angela Barney-Leitch | Moving beyond practical reconciliation in higher education

In this Grand Challenge Lecture, QUT Pro Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Strategy) Angela Barney-Leitch will discuss the challenges and opportunities that QUT is facing while undertaking the redevelopment of its strategic plan and the vision for Indigenous Australian engagement and empowerment.

Global STEM challenge tests Queensland students’ engineering, design and communication skills

More than 130 Queensland students will race their own designed miniature Formula 1 cars when they take part in the Queensland State finals of the world’s largest secondary school technology programme, the F1 in Schools™ Technology Challenge.
