See an example of a remote controlled traffic cone, currently being tested in the field and to be used by road workers setting up or taking down road works or emergency traffic zones in live traffic. This project is in partnership with Telstra and Transurban and aims to improve safety for road workers.

The Surfbee boat will also be on display. This is an easily transportable marine survey robot that can be packed into a backpack and carry up to 1 tonne.

Firetail won the Australian government’s 2016 Pacific Humanitarian challenge for their low cost UAV (Unmanned Aerial Aircraft or drone) ideal for responding to natural disasters and identifying areas that most urgently need assistance.
