Professor Marek Kowalkiewicz, QUT Professor and Chair in Digital Economy, Leader of IFE’s Embracing the Digital Age research theme. Innovator, inventor, author, speaker and QUT professor, Marek Kowalkiewicz is passionate about exploring bleeding edge technologies and using them to create opportunities and solve problems. Marek joined QUT from Silicon Valley, where he led innovation teams for software giant SAP. He now leads QUT’s research agenda to inform and influence a robust digital economy in Australia and the region. Professor Kowalkiewicz believes that everyone, given the right support, can be innovative. He loves to learn, teach others and work with teams to develop jaw dropping solutions.
