Overview

Many people have insurance for their pets these days. Who the providers are, what the claim rates made have been and what percentage of claims end up being declined and/or head to formal dispute resolution channels is however, a lot less well known. This topic would enable students to explore in depth the value for money this type of insurance represents along with the typical experience of both customers and vets around product 'success'. Understanding the legal framework against which this form of consumer protection exists would also be essential to not only assessing the benefits/shortfalls of this product but also for making recommendations going forward as to possible improvements in both regulation and product definition.
