Overview
This research project focuses on robotic grasping and agricultural robotics. The project aim is to design and develop of a robotic base platform for a greenhouse environment that can autonomously navigate down crop rows and capture important information about crop health.
Research activities
You will be actively involved in the many aspects of developing this platform, including the electronics, mechanical design and software for navigation.
Outcomes
Expected outcomes include the design and development of the robotic base platform.
Skills and experience
You will need to have:
- mechatronic engineering skills to help design the base platform
- software skills including python and C++ for developing the navigation software.
ROS experience would also be ideal.
