This project aims to improve the transparency and integrity of government spending decisions. During elections, political parties make election promises to spend billions of taxpayer dollars but we rarely question if and how that money is spent. This project aims to map the Queensland government's election commitments to the annual budget and announced projects and create a user friendly spending 'dashboard' that makes it easy for taxpayers to monitor the financial decisions of government.
Research activities during this project may include:
- a literature review
- case study
- quantitative research
- qualitative research
- participating in writing a scholarly paper.
