QUT’s rankings in the Good University Guide 2019 for the categories of ‘Overall experience,’ ‘Learning resources’ and ‘Student support’ outstrip those of Go8 and other ATN universities.

The University is in the 5-star band for Student demand which indicates the number of high achieving students choosing QUT, and for Overall experience, Skills development, Teaching quality and Learning resources.

In Teacher Education, QUT excelled with six 5-star indicators, including a first in Australia for full-time employment outcomes and learning resources.

QUT Pharmacy graduates achieved 100 per cent full-time employment, the highest in Australia.

In Computing and Information systems, QUT has five 5-star indicators, including a first in Australia for Learner engagement, and 5 stars for Learning resources, Overall experience, Skills development and Teaching quality.

5-star indicators for Nursing were awarded in four categories - Learning resources, Overall experience, Student support and Teaching quality.

Similarly, QUT’s Business and Management courses gained 5-star indicators in Learning resources, Overall experience, Skills development and Teaching quality.

QUT’s Law & Paralegal Studies achieved 5-stars in Learning resources, Overall experience and student support.

QUT Vice Chancellor Professor Margaret Sheil said the University’s commitment to high-quality teaching and student experience was apparent in the rankings.

“We are proud of our first in Australia for Teacher Education and Pharmacy graduates’ employment outcomes,” Professor Sheil said.

“The rankings show that the education experience we offer at QUT is valued by our students, with five stars for their experience, skills development, quality of teaching and the learning resources we provide.

“I acknowledge the tremendous work of our Learning and Teaching unit and our executive deans in achieving these results.

“These outstanding attainments are testament to our commitment to continuous improvement at QUT.”
