10th May 2011

One of Australia's most successful entrepreneurs, mining magnate Andrew "Twiggy" Forrest, is set to address the next QUT Business Leaders' Forum in June.

The CEO of Fortescue Metals Group will speak about leadership issues and how he has engaged corporate Australia to increase indigenous employment at the event at the Hilton Brisbane on June 20.

The driving force behind the Pilbara Iron Ore and Infrastructure Project, which includes Australia's heaviest haul rail line, Mr Forrest is known for his visionary leadership and determination.

Growing up on a remote sheep station in Minderoo, Western Australia motivated Mr Forrest to play a leading role in public policy matters involving indigenous people, particularly Aboriginal health, education and welfare.

QUT alumnus Leigh Sales, host of ABC's 7.30, will moderate this sold-out event.
