September is Pride Month, and QUT is celebrating. Our program kicks off with Wear it Purple Day, and continues with events throughout the month.
Get involved, learn, and celebrate the communities and cultures of people who identify as lesbian; gay; bisexual; transgender; intersex; queer or questioning; asexual, agender or aromantic; and those who identify as other diverse genders and sexualities (LGBTIQA+).
Attend an event, look out for content at The Cube, Sphere and on the HiQ digital walls, and show your pride throughout the month of September.
Looking to get involved beyond Pride Month? QUT staff can get involved with our QUT Pride Staff Network (LGBTIQA+ staff only) or Ally Network, QUT students can link up with our Queer Collective or QUT Guild Gender and Sexaulity representatives.
Pronouns: a conversation
Have you noticed people declaring their pronouns, but not sure why? QUT's Pride Staff Network invites you to come along to hear from the Queensland Aids Council (QuAC) and a panel of QUT speakers who will take us through why we use pronouns, the impact this can (and does) have at an individual level, and what is happening in this space internationally.
Be part of the conversation about pronouns at QUT and have the opportunity to share your experience and ask questions.
