QUT’s rise in international rankings continues with the release today of the QS World University Rankings 2018.

QUT Vice-Chancellor Professor Peter Coaldrake said the University’s growing international reputation for quality teaching and research had seen it rise 29 places in the QS Rankings to be placed 247th.

Professor Coaldrake said very importantly, QUT’s academic reputation had increased 38 places to equal 213th and employer reputation 24 places to equal 155th place.

“The rise is a great achievement for a young university and vindicated QUT’s strategic direction which focuses on transdisciplinary education and research, citations and internationalisation and achieving above Australian standard outcomes for graduates,” he said.

Professor Coaldrake said QUT’s global outlook reflected a world that was becoming smaller with challenges that were universal.

QUT rise in the QS World University Rankings comes on the back of rises in the Times Higher Education Young Universities rankings and in the Academic Ranking of World Universities.
