Three Brisbane QUT students and another from Cairns have been named as the recipients of the 2015 Go Further Indigenous Tertiary Scholarships sponsored by Arrow Energy.

Shekira Cardona of Mt Gravatt (Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Laws - Honours), Todd Crawford of Yeerongpilly (Bachelor of Engineering), Rebekka Taylor of Clayfield (Bachelor of Education - Secondary), and Mikaylah French of Kanimbla, Cairns (Bachelor of Laws - Honours) will each receive a scholarship to the value $5,000 to aid them in their studies.

Professor Anita Lee Hong, Director of QUT's Oodgeroo Unit, said the 2015 Go Further Indigenous Tertiary Scholarship program was a joint initiative between the Oodgeroo Unit and Arrow Energy.

"QUT's philosophy is that education should be accessible to all," Professor Lee Hong said.

"Partnering with organisations like Arrow Energy QUT helps us provide opportunities for students to receive scholarships and bursaries to pursue opportunities that may have been beyond their reach."

Arrow Energy Community Relations General Manager Glenda Viner said the scholarships were created to support Aboriginal students from Arrow's areas of operation.

"For several years, Arrow has committed itself to playing an active corporate role in closing the gap in Indigenous disadvantage and these scholarships are part of that effort," Ms Viner said.

"Since launching them at the end of 2012, we have been maintaining 25 scholarships for Indigenous students at six universities around Queensland.

"Our scholarships are a complete educational package that also includes mentoring, tutoring and peer support networks so students have the best support to achieve their goals.

"They are designed to remove some of the barriers that might discourage Indigenous high school students from progressing to higher education.

"I'd like to congratulate Mikaylah, Shekira, Todd and Rebekka, who today become the newest members of the Arrow Energy Indigenous Tertiary Scholarship club."

The scholarships are valued at $5000 per year comprising $4000 in financial assistance and $1000 in QUT bookshop vouchers.

The 2015 recipients join the 2013 Go Further Indigenous Tertiary Scholarship winners Rhys Duke, Ebony Jackson, Mitchell Lewis and William Paulson who continue their studies at QUT.
