Barcaldine student awarded Rural Bank scholarship: Barcaldine student Rhiannon Bennett has been selected as one of nine Rural Bank Scholarship recipients who will receive financial support to the value of $5,000, to help fund her degree in Behavioural Science at QUT.

- Campus Morning Mail, Get Healthier and Health Times reported a QUT project to develop medical robotics that can see soft tissue had been granted nearly $1 million from the Australia-India Strategic Research Fund.

- The Australian featured research on koalas’ mating calls that involves sound recordings being analysed by a QUT acoustics team headed by Professor Paul Roe.
- The Australian also covered NHMRC chief executive Professor Anne Kelso’s talk at this month’s Times Higher Education Young Universities Summit at QUT.
- In other Summit coverage, Professor Timothy Tong’s address was on the front page of English-language paper The Seoul Times and Professor Carla Brodley’s address was in in Publicnow.
- Professor Nicolas Suzor talked to The Daily Telegraph about piracy laws and site blocking, with the story also run by The Courier-Mail and Herald Sun.
- The Courier-Mail’s Qweekend profiled QUT journalism graduate and ABC broadcaster Craig Zonka.

- Associate Professor Gary Mortimer talked to Melbourne’s 3AW and Perth’s 6PR about Woolworths adopting ‘round number’ pricing, with the interviews also picked up by other stations. He was also interviewed by Nine News about Easter shopping.
- ABC Radio Brisbane shared CARRS-Q’s ‘text driving’ research with listeners.
- The Noosa News wrote about Indonesian fashion designers and officials visiting Noosa and Brisbane as part of a training course hosted by QUT Creative Industries.
- At the Barre highlighted Professor Gene Moyle (pictured) and her Adult Creative Health research project with Queensland Ballet.
