Brisbane's premier showcase of emerging fashion talent will taken on an apocalyptic theme this week when QUT's 2016 graduating fashion students unveil their collections as part of their Dust runway finale event.
The three-day event (November 16 to 18) will feature 21 emerging designers in a show that will use botanical inspired décor to evoke mankind's environmental impact on Earth.
QUT fashion lecturer Icaro Ibanez-Arricivita said it was the high-profile culmination of the students' three-year Bachelor of Fine Arts fashion degree with QUT Creative Industries
"Our graduating students have completed intensive studio classes in a designer-level fashion course that nurtures creativity and embraces individuality," he said.
"Our student designers have been working enthusiastically on their collections, responsible for every detail from concept to fashion illustration, patterning and construction, and accessory coordination."
Dust will be held at The Block - a fully equipped interactive exhibition space in the QUT Creative Industries Precinct at Kelvin Grove.

The night will include photo and video opportunities on the runway and backstage with students and mentors.
