Shame & stigma: partners of online child exploiters are DV victims too: The non-offending partners of people involved with online child exploitation often face similar consequences as domestic violence victims such as isolation and stigmatisation, says Natalie Walker, a student of QUT’s Graduate Certificate of Domestic Violence, and founder of PartnerSPEAK.org.au.

- Professor Chris Eves featured in The Australian Financial Review on inner Brisbane apartment prices falling as much as 25 per cent.
- The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age featured findings from research by Professor Lionel Page on how diners choose a good restaurant.
- The Daily Telegraph reported on Professor Janet Davies’ AusPollen Partnership research.
- Associate Professor Molly Dragiewicz appeared on 7 News commenting on the latest crime statistics in Queensland relating to domestic violence.
- Professor Lynne Daniels was quoted in APN newspapers on how economic disadvantage contributed to obesity.
- Associate Professor Gary Mortimer did two 7 News stories on retail sales figures and the surge in popularity of docket vouchers, and spoke to Nine News on how shops are stocking Christmas items already.
- Professor Brian McNair’s opinion piece about democracy and politics in the digital age and a QUT-led public debate about the issue ran across the Fairfax network.
- The CairnsEye liftout in the Cairns Weekend Post ran a cover story on Indigenous artist and QUT Creative Industries graduate Jedess Hudson.
- QUT CEA boss Anna Rooke discussed why Australia needs to grow its create-tech industry in an opinion piece in The Australian.
- Robot News featured Dr Luxi Leitner’s LunaRoo project to put a hopping cube on the Moon.
- The APN network published a story on emotional eating with Esben Strodl explaining the three types of dysfunctional eating and how the desired body shapes change over decades.

- Radio 4EB’s Women’s Profile show interviewed Dr Mary Crawford (pictured) about 50 years of women working in government.
- Dr Mark McGovern talked about trade and Brexit with Sydney’s 2SER.
- Quest featured QUT law student Hugo Southcott who overcame a snowboarding accident to graduate high school, start uni, and get a job as a legal clerk.
- The North Lakes Messenger (page 9) ran a great photo and story of robot-loving kids at the QUT’s Moreton Bay STEM Fest.
- Professor Ben White was interviewed by ABC Southern Queensland on a study to investigate the community’s understanding of the law at the end of life.
