The first event in the Future of Work series will take place in Adelaide on 8 February.
About the series
Every new technology brings doubts about the future of work. Now those technologies are moving in on the work of the mind, as well as the manual work that has always been at risk from machines. Work is changing as it always has and the skill we most need is to future-proof ourselves. In this session, we will look at how those technologies will change the workplace and how they will change the way we work, creating opportunities as well as challenges.
David Fagan is Director, Corporate Transition in the Vice-Chancellor’s Office at QUT and an Adjunct Professor of Business. He is author of Wake Up – The Nine H#shtags of Digital Disruption and runs the QUT Real World Futures program which examines the impact of technology on future working, thinking and living. You can find out more about QUT’s Real World Futures online.
