The Learning Potential Fund is proud to announce Mark Sowerby as the guest speaker of the upcoming LPF Breakfast.
Mark is one of Queensland’s most successful entrepreneurs and is known as the Founder of Blue Sky Investments Ltd.
He prides himself on helping people maximise their potential, and encourages everyone at Blue Sky to take themselves out of their comfort zone, providing opportunities for staff to undertake challenging physical and mental pursuits. This is an initiative where he leads by example: after two years of training, Mark swam the English Channel in August 2015, testing his mental and physical boundaries more than ever before.
Appointed by the Premier as Queensland’s inaugural Chief Entrepreneur, Mark plays a game-changing role in setting Queensland’s strategy to identify attract and nurture opportunities to position Queensland as the Start-up State.
Please join us at the Learning Potential Fund Breakfast to hear Mark’s presentation entitled ‘Sliding Doors’, where he will share his views on entrepreneurship in Queensland and the power of maximising potential.
Guests will also have the opportunity to hear from a QUT Learning Potential Fund recipient who will share their personal story about the transformational power of education, and the impact that the Learning Potential Fund scholarship has had on their life.
This public event will be held at QUT's Room Three Sixty (Gardens Point campus) to raise funds and awareness for QUT's Learning Potential Fund, which provides scholarships to students from diverse backgrounds who face financial hardship.
Tickets to the breakfast are $60 per person, or $540 per table of nine seats, and can be booked online or by calling the Learning Potential Fund on 07 3138 1838.
