GLASS: art design architecture represents a cross-section of current creative practices and relationships to one of the world’s oldest and most versatile materials.
Exploring themes of sustainability, recycling and repurposing, and a love of nature, juxtaposed with seemingly disparate themes of construction, business, and the built environment, GLASS: art design architecture presents an overview of the many ways in which we engage with glass in our daily lives.
Exhibitors represent a broad range of innovative approaches to working with glass – from fine, hand-crafted jewellery to high-tech glass skyscrapers. They include multiple award-winning architectural firm Woods Bagot, contemporary artist Nic Folland and Tom Moore, one of Australia’s most celebrated glass artists.
This ground-breaking new exhibition from JamFactory (SA) is on show at QUT Art Museum from 19 November to 5 March 2017.
