English for Academic Purposes (EAP)

Our 12-week English for Academic Purposes (EAP) programs provide direct pathways into the QUT foundation, diploma, or QUT degree programs for students who have already met the academic entry requirements for these academic programs. Our three EAP programs are streamed to help you progress into:

  • degree programs that require IELTS 7.0 for entry.

EAP 1

This program will help prepare you for EAP 2 or QUTIC's foundation or diploma programs, and will help you develop skills in:

  • academic reading, writing and note-taking
  • listening and speaking
  • study and research.

EAP 2

This program will help prepare you for entry into an undergraduate or postgraduate degree course at QUT and will help develop your skills in:

  • study and research.

EAP 3

This program will help prepare you to meet the English language requirement for QUT degree programs that require an IELTS 7.0 for entry, without the need to take an IELTS test.
