Step 9: Pay your fees

Your offer letter will outline the fees you need to pay when accepting your offer. Make sure that you read this information carefully so that you know exactly what you need to pay.

You must also pay for your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).

You must pay your fees by the due date on your tax invoice.

Pay your fees via QUTPay

  1. Go to QUTPay.
  2. Choose 'New International Students Payments'.
  3. Choose 'Offer Acceptance Payments'
  4. If you need to pay for overseas health cover choose 'Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)'. If not, go to Step 5.
    • Enter the student number (shown on the letter of offer).
    • Enter the student's family name.
    • Enter the amount to be paid.
    • Click 'add to cart'.
    • If you want to add and pay for another item (e.g. tuition fees or airport arrival) click 'Continue Browsing'. This will take you back to the menu.
    • If you have finished your payments then choose 'checkout'.
  5. If you need to pay your tuition fee/tuition deposit choose 'Tuition Fee/Tuition deposit'.
    • Enter the student number (shown on the letter of offer).
    • Enter the student's family name.
    • Enter the amount to be paid.
    • Click 'add to cart'.
    • If you want to add and pay for another item (e.g. tuition fees or airport arrival) click 'Continue Browsing'. This will take you back to the menu.
    • If you have finished your payments then choose 'checkout'.
  6. Click 'checkout' when you have finished adding all items.
  7. Create guest account.
  8. Enter the contact details of the person making the payment.
  9. Click 'next'.
  10. Click 'pay now'.
  11. Click 'review payment items'.
  12. Click 'next' to continue to the payment.
  13. Enter credit card details.
  14. Submit and confirm your payment.
  15. Print your receipt or have it emailed to the address you supplied.

I want to pay by another method

You can also pay by:

  • phone with a credit card
  • BPay
  • Australia Post
  • cheque
  • bank draft
  • telegraphic transfer.

To pay by one of these methods, you will need to:

  1. get your QUTPay payment advice/invoice slip
  2. choose how you want to pay.

Step 1: Get your QUTPay payment advice/invoice slip

You will need your QUTPay payment advice/invoice slip with a 16-digit reference number, which you'll need to proceed with payment. To get this:

  1. Go to QUTPay.
  2. Choose 'New International Students Payments'.
  3. Choose 'Offer Acceptance Payments'.
  4. If you need to pay for overseas health cover choose 'Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)'. If not, go to Step 5.
  5. Enter the student number (shown on the letter of offer).
  6. Enter the student's last name.
  7. Enter the amount to be paid.
  8. Click 'add to cart'.
  9. Click 'checkout'.
  10. Enter the contact details of the person making the payment.
  11. Click 'next'.
  12. Click 'pay later'.
  13. Click 'review payment items'.
  14. Click 'next'.
  15. Click 'open' to download a PDF copy of your QUTPay payment advice/invoice slip. A copy will also be emailed to the address you supplied when you registered in QUTPay.
  16. Print a copy.

Step 2: Choose how you want to pay

Pay by credit card over the phone

  • Call 1300 362 589 or +61 3 86480182
  • You must be able to provide your 16 digit reference number that appears on your QUTPay payment advice/tax invoice .

Pay by bank draft

If you're paying by bank draft you must:

  • check with your bank to ensure the bank draft will be accepted in Australia
  • make sure the bank draft is in Australian dollars
  • make it payable to QUT
  • attach your QUTPay payment advice/invoice slip to your draft.

Mail the draft and a copy of the QUTPay payment advice/tax invoice to:

Pay by telegraphic transfer

To make the transfer, you must include QUT's BSB branch code of 067-970, QUT's account number and also your 16-digit reference number. All of these numbers are shown on your QUTPay payment advice/tax invoice.

  • Beneficiary account details (these are QUT's banking details):
    • QUT's BSB code: 067-970
    • QUT's Account Number: 99xxxxxxx as shown in the TT (telegraphic transfer) information section on your QUTPay payment advice/tax invoice

    Note: The QUT account number generated on the QUT Payment Advice/Invoice is individual to each student/QUTPay invoice generated.

  • Beneficiary bank: CBA, Sydney, Australia
  • Branch name: StrataPay Pty Ltd
  • Branch address: Building 1, 175 Varsity Pde, Varsity Lakes, QLD 4227
  • Beneficiary name: Queensland University of Technology
  • Swift code: CTBAAU2S
  • Reference number: 16 digit number on your QUTPay payment advice/tax invoice.
