Step 7: Submit your application

If you are an international student currently completing Year 12 in Australia, you must apply through QTAC.

All other applicants must apply directly to QUT or through one of our authorised agents or representatives.

Applying through a QUT representative (agent)

If you would like help with your application, you can find a QUT representative in your country to help you apply for study.

If you have completed Year 12 in Australia, you must also complete and submit an agent appointment form (PDF file, 197.89 KB) .

Undergraduate and postgraduate coursework study

Complete the application for admission as an international student form (F Form) (PDF file, 242.31 KB) to apply for:

  • an undergraduate course
  • postgraduate coursework
  • a Foundation program, Diploma, University Certificate in Tertiary Preparation, or postgraduate pathway program.

English language programs

You can apply to study just an English language program, or you can study an English language program and a QUT degree.

To apply for an English language program and a degree, complete the application for admission as an international student form (F Form) (PDF file, 242.31 KB). We will tell you which English program you need to study for your degree program.

If you want to apply for just an English language program, you can apply directly to QUT International College.

Applying directly to QUT

When you submit your application, you will need to pay a non-refundable application fee of A$100. There is no fee for research degree applications.

You can sign in as a guest and pay your application fee through QUTPay.

Applications are open all year. Submit your application to International Admissions.

Fee increase

From 1 January 2017, the application fee will increase to A$100 (GST included).

There is no fee for research degree applications.

What happens next?

We will take at least 10 working days to process your application. Once we have evaluated your application, we will notify you of the outcome.

If you do not meet the entry requirements for your course, we will ask you to enrol in a pathway course before you can start the course you applied for. This pathway course will help you improve your English language and academic skills, and if you are successful, it will guarantee you entry into your degree program.

International Year 12 students in Australia who apply through QTAC will receive a conditional offer late September/early October. A conditional offer means you must meet the requirements stated in your offer to accept your place.
