Our dedicated academic staff and work integrated learning team source and coordinate all nursing placements so you can concentrate on your learning.

Clinical Simulation Centre

In our Clinical Simulation Centre you'll practice clinical skills with real-life scenarios using high-tech manikins. Our facilitators will lead you through immersive learning activities based on real clinical situations.

Learn in a safe, controlled environment where you can build confidence in fundamental skills and patient care, preparing you for professional practice in a variety of healthcare settings.

Integrated learning and practice

We equip you with both theory and practical skills needed for placements well before you step through the doors of healthcare facilities.

Our clinical practical sessions will provide you with ample opportunities to practice clinical procedures so that you can make the most of your placement experiences.

Your experience in real industry settings begins during second semester of first year and continues with clinical placement experience every semester thereafter.

Laboratories

Be prepared for the real world of nursing with learning experiences that combine theory with practical training. Our purpose-built on-campus facilities replicate the hospital environment. Each room is set up as a 4-bed hospital room, allowing you to practice skills in a realistic clinical bedside area. Small group sizes mean you get to practice skills with peer and facilitator feedback.

With on-demand drop-in and mentoring sessions, you’ll develop the confidence to succeed in your off-campus clinical placements and be prepared for work in a range of nursing environments.
