Head of School
Professor Remco Polman is Head of the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences. Prior to this he was head of the Psychology Department at Bournemouth University (UK), research professor and program leader for active living at the Institute of Sport, Exercise and Active Living (ISEAL) at Victoria University, Melbourne, and Professor and Director of the Centre for Applied Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Central Lancashire, UK. His research is multi- and inter-disciplinary in nature and includes work in sport, exercise and health psychology; exercise physiology (e.g. pacing); injury rehabilitation; biomechanics; training/conditioning in sport, exercise and PA for diverse populations; motor control and learning; and cognitive neuroscience. Remco is an HCPC-accredited, qualified practicing sport and exercise psychologist (UK only).
