We need to make choices in health care, and they need to be right.
Advocates for different health groups all ask the same question: when will the government spend millions of dollars to address my problem? In the past, governments could respond by spending more money - but we live in difficult economic times, and resources are scarce. Rather than constantly finding more money, we need to allocate the money we have more efficiently, to increase health benefits without more spending.
With four big thinkers sharing their perspectives, AusHSI's forum will shine a light on healthcare spending. Each speaker will have 12 minutes to spend the $12 billion health budget to improve health care, followed by audience questions and vote.
Featuring Sophie Scott from the ABC to moderate the forum, join us on Thursday 29 August to find out how we can make better choices in healthcare spending, in a light-hearted but thought provoking evening.
