Feelgood Initiative

Many of us want to give, but aren’t sure where to start. The Feelgood Initiative offers students, staff and alumni the chance to give time, knowledge, money, or  a little of all three, and help others along in their journey through life.

Ways to get involved

Make an impact in 2016 and get involved in the Feelgood Initiative. You can take part in Feelgood Initiative events and activities throughout the year, or start your own. Details of events and activities will be posted here regularly. In the meantime there are numerous ways you can be involved in the Feelgood Initiative:

  • host an event through one of our clubs and societies as part of the Feelgood Initiative, or set a club goal to donate a percentage of profits from events to charities you feel passionate about
  • contact our Alumni and Development Office if you have an event or activity idea for the Feelgood Initiative.

Feelgood Week 2015

Feelgood Week made its debut in 2015 and has since grown into a yearlong initiative. In 2015 we celebrated giving and kindness in our community through events and fundraisers, including:

  • a zumba class
  • Engineers Without Borders lunch
  • QUT Library trivia night
  • Pride of QUT give-aways
  • Faculty of Health cook-off
  • the International College jumble sale
  • any give-aways throughout the week.

Feelgood Week 2015 was a huge success, and raised more than $10,000 for the QUT Learning Potential Fund, which supports motivated but financially disadvantaged students.
